 COMPUTER FACILITIES

JFHS LogoIn years 7 and 8, all students study computing as part of their mandatory Technology course. The school also offers elective courses in Computing Studies in Years 9 – 12.

The school has four fully equiped computer rooms with fully networked computers. Computers are also available in the library for internet research or for completing assignment work. In addition, rooms are progressively being set up across the school with interactive whiteboards.

All students are required to sign and adhere to a Technology Agreement before they have access to technology equipment. Breaches of the agreement results in students' network accounts being disabled for a period of time.

A copy of the Technology Agreement can be obtained as a downloaded pdf file:

Year 10, 11 & 12 students all hold laptops as part of the Digital Education Revolution (DER). They have signed a charter to have responsibility of this learning device, and are making the most of this excellent opportunity. Year 9 students receive their laptops this year. Years 9 to 12 have access to electronic diaries via their laptops.
